For more than 20 years, I have built my career around storytelling.

My professional background spans television, documentary, unscripted, branded, and digital media, with experience as a producer, story producer, field producer, camera operator, sound recordist, and production professional. I've had the opportunity to work on productions including Jersey Shore, Selena + Chef, The Great Food Truck Race, Hoffman Family Gold, Full Bloom, Snoop & Martha's Potluck Dinner Party, and many others, while also developing independent and branded projects through my own production company.

My roots began in film and television school, where I developed a foundation in the fundamentals of storytelling, cinematography, sound, production, and editing. My professional career then took me primarily into documentary and unscripted television, where I learned another side of storytelling: how to work with real people and unpredictable situations, adapt when the plan changes, recognize meaningful moments as they happen, and ultimately discover and shape the story within the material you capture.

That combination has shaped how I approach media:

Today, I am bringing that experience into a new chapter in Media Arts and Career Technical Education. I want to help students understand not only how cameras, lighting, sound, editing, and production technology work, but how those tools are used to communicate ideas and tell meaningful stories.

My approach is hands-on and project-based. Students should have opportunities to develop concepts, pitch ideas, write and plan productions, work collaboratively in crews, capture strong material, edit and revise their work, respond to feedback, and ultimately present something they are proud to put in a portfolio. Just as importantly, I want them to understand the many creative, technical, and organizational careers that exist behind the content they consume every day.

I continue to work within and stay connected to the entertainment industry, maintaining relationships with professionals across producing, directing, camera, sound, editing, and other areas of production. I see those connections as another opportunity to bridge professional practice with education and expose students to the people, pathways, and expectations of the industry.

Outside of my professional work, family and community involvement are important parts of my life. I have spent years working with community organizations and school-based initiatives, bringing people together around service, family engagement, and stronger communities.

Whether I'm developing a production, collaborating with a creative team, working within my community, or helping the next generation discover what they can create, the common thread remains the same:
